About My name is Alison Pottinger. I have been a BSL/English Interpreter for 22 years! Prior to that, and still on occasion, I work as a theatre stage manager. My main areas of interest are working in the field of the arts – rehearsal room, workshop, gallery and museum interpreting. I set up a glossary project several years ago – Tech Theatre BSL. There is a website of approximately 50 technial theatre words translated into BSL with accompanying films and definitions. I also teach at Rose Bruford College, working with techincal theatre students, which I very much enjoy. Outside of work, I go to the theatre regularly, enjoy cooking, getting together with family and friends and generally trying to enjoy what life has to offer!
